Oil Change?

So we headed out yesterday, and at some point during the day one of the things on the to do list was to get the oil changed. So we finally get to the oil changing place at an hour they are actually open.  Seems CO businesses like to turn in early on the weekends, and lots of places close at 5, 6, and 7.

So anyway, we pull in, and they get to work under the hood, and I am knitting away in the passenger seat as usual. They ask us if we want them to check transmission fluid, and the air filters for flow to the engine, blah, blah, blah, the normal run of the mill. Then the oil lady (yeah, this shop seems to always have one lady that can work on cars. I like that) comes to the window and says, ‘your air filter. Umm, it’s fluffy.’ I swear for one second dh kinda glanced at me and my yarn, and I was all like, ‘oooohh nooo! I know I did not secret stash yarn under the hood!  It is NOT me dude!’ I might store yarn in the freezer, and in old dryers that don’t work, but I don’t stash it under the car hood! 😀

Turns out some little animal, a mouse, or a bird, or something, is making little nests near our air filter, and the lady pulled it and plucked out some of the fluff, and then got the vacuum and for really real started vacuuming our car engine! How wild is that!??? Yeah, we’re out in the country now!!!  Just another thing to keep your eye on… critters eating your car parts!
