Kittens kittens, everywhere, kittens!

So here is how it starts…  14 yo dd:  ‘Look mom, I’ve made a cat bed for the kittens.’  She started with the white I’m using in my granny ripple, because I have two skeins of it and probably wont need it all.  Made a big round bottom with it, and then changed to the blue for the sides.  She wanted a little walk in area, so started working the blue back and forth, and then we discussed how to then re-add the stitches back across the top and make it long enough to tuck back down inside, so the bed is a double thickness.  For the sweeeetest widdle kitties in the whooooole wide world. Eh. 😀

And then it goes like this. Place the kitty in the bed (Trout at four weeks old), mama wondering what on earth this new thing is.

Place Stinker in the bed also.  Ooooooh, she liiiiikes it! And she actually fell asleep in it for a while.

Three or four days later, THIS is what it has come to.  Kitties in order, Trout, Stinker, and Salmon (why yes, I named cats after fish! So what) And yes, 14 yo dd is making more and bigger beds as I type! Soooo cozy!

And yes three posts are a lot for me for one day. I should prolly go clean my house now.

Gosh, your daughter has obviously inherited your talent for woolcraft. She should try and sell some, that one looks amazing. Very clever young lady.

Thank you! She was very pleased with herself. We also looked some up on Etsy and Pinterest when she was about half way done and now she wants to try all kinds of fun edgings also. Too bad my yarn stash is half a country away. LOL

    That’s awesome!
