It’s about knitting, right?

Ok ok, enough of the crying over having to find a new bloggity blog.  Some people on Xanga are still holding out hope, but I’m seeing it as a quick fix, and I don’t want to end up going though all of this again next year. The Xanga Team isn’t as good as it once was, and yeah, there are a lot of great people on Xanga that are probably going to step up and try to keep it all going in some form, somehow.  I just don’t want to be doing a blog by the seat of my pants, not knowing if it’s going to stay up next year, or the year after.  Heck, nothing is forever, right?

So anyway, lets get to the knitting!!!! I blogged over there how this past week me and my online knitting buddy, Barbara, decided to get through the  holiday crunch knitting that we donate to the hospitals every year.  For the next few months every Friday we are going to knit one Halloween hat, and every Sunday we are going to knit one Christmas hat.  By Halloween we’ll each have around 20 Halloween themed hats to give to various places, and by Christmas we should have close to 30 hats each to give!  So yesterday I got one hat made, and cast on for a second.  Only got the ribbing done on the brim of the second hat, but I need to finish it up tonight so I can cast on for a Christmas hat tomorrow!

In other news… oldest dd has finished a kitty cat bed for the baby kittens. It came out adorable and eventually only one of the kittens/cats are going to be able to fit in it.  I think she is getting yarn ready to work on a second one now! We looked on both Pintrest and Etsy for ideas also so I think my next 40% off coupon is going to go to her for a skein of either puffy yarn for the edging or felting yarn for a beautiful felted cat bed.

Testing to see if pictures work for the awwwwwww cute kitties factor. 🙂

Hopefully will have more pictures in a day or three to post!  I know a lot of you love looking at the pretty yarny goodness!

I like your organized knitting effort to work on the hats on Fridays and Sundays. It will add up to a lot by the time those holidays roll around!

Yep and both my friend and myself are tickled pink that we thought of this because it sure will take a lot of pressure off during holiday stuff! Plus my family has our big move from FL to CO coming up so I needed a plan! 😀
